Rachel Small
Rachel is a multidisciplinary arts practitioner with a particular interest in applied theatre and cultural development. She holds a BA (Communications) Theatre/Media from Charles Sturt University, and a MA Applied Theatre (Drama in Education and Drama in the Community) from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, UK. Rachel has worked as a Teaching Artist for Sydney Theatre Company, a drama facilitator with Corrugated Iron Youth Arts, performed as a Captain Starlight in Sydney and remote communities in the NT with the Starlight Foundation, and works freelance as a community arts facilitator. Passionate about creating quality accessible and engaging theatre for children, Rachel founded Scribblygum Arts, creating interactive theatre and storytelling experiences for early years, with an ecological focus. Rachel currently works with arts and social change organisation Big hART, producing Project O - a primary prevention initiative for teenage girls in NW Tasmania.
