about
Skills 4 Kids Cafes provide intergenerational creative encounters in Launceston early learning centres, bringing young children together with artists, family day care educators, community members and families to share and learn from one another.
These hands-on skill-sharing sessions encourage children and adults to make, repair, create and re-create with the aim of enhancing the confidence of adults to support children’s learning and the development of their social identity and emotional intelligence.
Skills 4 Kids Cafes is a partnership between leading organisation Northern Children’s Network (NCN), The Northern Early Years Group (NEYG), B4 Early Years Coalition, University of Tasmania (UTAS), Education for Sustainability Tasmania, and in 2019/2020, All That We Are via ArTELIER Tasmania.
