Building the ecology of community engaged artists in Tasmania to support intergenerational arts practice across the state.
What is ArTELIER?
Artists in Tasmania’s Ecology for Learning, Intergenerational Exchange and Reflection
ArTELIER is a Learning Exchange program for over 45 community engaged artists across Tasmania to share and improve their practice working with children, families and young people. ArTELIER supports community engaged artists to view their program design through an intergenerational lens and fosters interdisciplinary collaborations, peer review, playful enquiry and new approaches to co-creation with children, young people and families. in its first two years, artists across a range of disciplines, cultural backgrounds and experiences co-designed and co-delivered monthly Learning Exchange, selecting experienced community and culturally engaged practitioners as provocateurs. A series on ongoing community driven linkage projects informed the Learning Exchange program giving all artists the capacity to share their practice.
